July 5, 2021 - As part of our ongoing commitment to build a strong frontline workforce at SupportiveLiving.ca, we strive to recognize and appreciate the diligence and hard work of our employees who demonstrate excellent performance in their role as home operator.
This month we selected 3 special employees for July: Wanda Rogers, Josephine Tom and Monica for July Employee of the Month 2021. Both Wanda and Monica have been Employee of the Month once before.
A little about Josephine:
Josephine is currently attending a nursing program at Niagara College. She enjoys the arts, hospitality and resident engagement.
When an early morning porch fire broke out at Humberstone Manor on June 16, Josephine enacted SupportiveLiving’s fire safety protocols to ensure all residents were alerted and evacuated in a quick and safe manner without incident. A team immediately formed onsite, including Wanda, to safeguard the displaced residents and make sure they were sheltered and provided necessities and food. While the residents have been displaced temporarily from their home, SupportiveLiving was able to secure accommodations for them in our other facilities.
With the tireless help of Monica, who worked quickly to facilitate accommodations for them, she ensured they had provisions in place and worked diligently with community agencies to provide support.
On behalf of SL Management, we congratulate Wanda, Josephine and Monica for this recognition and your relentless passion when it comes to our residents. You are all valued members of our team and continue to show excellent performance in the face of adversity!
